Recyclable food packaging
Flexible packaging is already the most material-efficient way to protect food — and with recyclable mono structures we make it circular too. Without compromising shelf life.
The same protection, a better recycling score
Classic barrier films combine materials that are hard to recycle. Our mono structures in PE/EVOH/PE and PP deliver the same oxygen and moisture barrier, yet fit into existing recycling streams. For trays we supply rPET made from recycled material.
- Mono PE and PP films with high barrier
- rPET and 100% recyclable PET trays
- Thinner films: less material, same performance
- BOPP variants for recyclable flowpack
Ready for the PPWR before you have to be
The European packaging regulation imposes recycling targets. We translate them into concrete material choices for your products — with a step-by-step, proven approach.

Eco-modulation
Recyclable packaging means lower packaging contributions (Fost Plus/Valipac). Choosing sustainable pays off financially too.
Step-by-step transition
We first test new structures on your line and only switch once quality and speed are proven.
No greenwashing
We only recommend what is demonstrably recyclable in today’s Belgian and European sorting streams.
What does the PPWR mean for you in practice?
The European Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) entered into force in 2025 and applies step by step from August 2026. By 2030, every pack placed on the European market must be recyclable according to design-for-recycling criteria, and plastic packaging must contain a minimum share of recycled content — 30% for contact-sensitive PET packaging, 10% for other contact-sensitive plastics.
For food producers this means phasing out complex laminates and switching to recyclable mono structures or rPET. Those who switch early avoid time pressure and already pay lower packaging fees today.
Sustainable choices also pay off financially
In Belgium, the packaging fee you pay to Fost Plus or Valipac depends on how recyclable your packaging is. A non-recyclable laminate costs considerably more per kilogram than a recyclable mono film — year after year. The switch partly pays for itself, even before the PPWR makes it mandatory.
With every quote we can provide the material data and recyclability information (including polymer composition and RecyClass) you need for your declaration, your retail customers and your own sustainability reporting.
From laminate to mono in four steps
You don't switch overnight. We guide the entire process — without risk to your line, your shelf life or your security of supply.
1. Screening
We map your current packaging and identify the recyclability score and potential savings for each pack.
2. Material proposal
For each application we propose a recyclable alternative: mono-PE, mono-PP or (r)PET — with comparable barrier and seal quality.
3. Line trials
You test trial reels on your own machines. Together we validate the seal window, runnability, shelf life and line speed.
4. Changeover
Only when quality and output are proven do you switch — with local stock to keep your supply guaranteed.
